 Atlanta Business League (ABL) has selected Mr. Rudolph H. Carn, Founder and CEO of NAESM as one of ABL Men of Influence for 2011

 

Atlanta, Georgia – For many years, the Atlanta Business League (ABL) has recognized business owners, professionals, community and civic leaders in Metropolitan Atlanta. Again this year the Atlanta Business League will publish its list of Atlanta's Men of Influence for 2011 and recognize their accomplishments during an evening reception and induction ceremony on Tuesday, July 26, 6:00 PM, at the Shera­ton Atlanta Hotel. The staff of NAESM www.naesm.org is pleased that the accomplishments of their leader, Mr. Rudolph H. Carn is being recognized for his work with HIV/AIDS in the community.

 

Mr.  Carn has been and still is in the forefront in Atlanta in providing leadership for NAESM, the community based organization he founded almost twenty-two years ago.  The organization mission is to provide national and local leadership to address the myriad of health and wellness issues confronted by black gay men through advocacy, services, and education. He's also is credited with and instrumental for creating the National African American MSM Leadership Conference on HIV/AIDS and other Health Disparities which is held in a different city each year.  The conference attracts and brings together researchers and clinicians, doctors, youth and young adult's organizations, people living HIV/AIDS, health care professionals, health and social advocates, international and regional professionals, pharmaceutical companies and churches with an HIV/AIDS focus to continue conversation, education and forward thinking on possible directions community based organizations should adapt to continue the work in their respective communities.
