PETITION TO HIS EXCELLENCY, JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA, PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF GHANA   PLEASE INTERVENE AND EXPIDITE THE PASSAGE OF THE RIGHT TO INFORMATION BILL   Your Excellency, we the under listed organisations and individuals would like to urge you to engage Parliament to resume and expedite the consideration of the RTI Bill currently at the consideration stage in Parliament. Your Excellency, upon assuming power in 2012, tabled the RTI Bill before the 6 th  Parliament on November 12 th  2013 and subsequently the Bill was referred to the Select Committee on Constitutional, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs for thorough discussion and review. The Select Committee, as part of its deliberative processes, held consultations with various stakeholders including the RTI Coalition and unanimously adopted a number of critical amendments to the Bill in its report presented to Parliament in December 2014.
